Everything companies ask us before they start: from e-Factura and token signatures to payroll, pricing and data security.
01About the product
What is Fivanto?
Fivanto is a Romanian SaaS platform for running a company, with 15 modules to choose from: time tracking, leave, projects and tasks, dashboard, invoicing with e-Factura (ANAF SPV), payroll, expense claims, documents and certificates, file sharing, electronic signatures, accounting export and tax filings. It runs in the browser, in Romanian and English.
Is Fivanto free?
Yes — Fivanto has a permanently free plan: every module can be used free of charge, with volume caps — for example 5 e-Factura invoices a month, 3 signatures a month, 3 payslips a month, 2 projects. The à la carte subscription removes the caps only for the modules you pick, per user per month.
How do I get started with Fivanto?
You create a free account straight from the browser, with no card, switch on the modules you need and invite your colleagues by email — each of them sets their own password and gets the right role. The free plan stays free; you unlock modules only as you grow.
Which languages is Fivanto available in?
Romanian and English, switchable from the interface in one click — emails and notifications follow each user’s language too.
Does Fivanto work on a phone?
Yes. Fivanto is a responsive web app — it runs in the browser on desktop, tablet and phone, with nothing to install. It can be added to your home screen as an app (PWA).
Can I run several companies from one account?
Yes. One Fivanto organisation can hold several companies (legal entities), each with its own tax details, invoice number series and tax-authority connection — while the team and the modules stay shared.
02e-Factura & tax-authority compliance
Does Fivanto issue e-Factura invoices (ANAF SPV)?
Yes. Fivanto generates the invoice as UBL 2.1 XML in the RO_CIUS standard, validates it and files it with the Romanian tax authority, tracking the validation states and the messages received. It also pulls in supplier invoices and covers e-Transport.
How does Fivanto connect to the tax authority?
Through OAuth, per company: the administrator clicks “Connect”, signs in at the tax authority with their qualified digital certificate, and Fivanto receives an access token which it stores encrypted and renews automatically. The certificate stays with you — the platform never sees it.
What happens when the tax authority rejects an invoice?
Fivanto turns the tax authority’s technical errors into plain language: for each error it shows exactly “what is wrong” and “what to fix”, and then you resend the corrected invoice straight from the app.
03Payroll, accounting & signatures
Can I sign documents electronically, including from a stick or token?
Yes. Fivanto offers a simple electronic signature with an eIDAS audit trail and a cryptographic PAdES/PKCS#7 digital signature — either with your own .pfx certificate inside the app, or by signing with your stick or token in Adobe and uploading the PDF again, which Fivanto then verifies cryptographically. The private key never leaves your device.
Does Fivanto compute salaries and payslips?
Yes. The payroll module automatically computes pension, health and income tax from the gross salary, produces PDF payslips for every employee and prepares the data for the D112 return. Employees see their own payslips in self-service.
How does my accountant work with Fivanto?
You invite your accountant for free, with the dedicated “External accountant” role: they see several companies from one account, switch between organisations and export the sales and purchase ledgers straight to SAGA, WinMentor, ContabSQL or generic CSV/XML.
04Data & security
Is my company’s data safe?
Yes. Fivanto is multi-tenant with strict data isolation per organisation, encrypted HTTPS transport, authentication with rotating tokens in secure cookies, sign-in rate limiting and security headers, in line with GDPR. Digital signatures never store the private key of the certificate.
What happens to shared files once they expire?
Every shared file has a retention period chosen when you send it (7, 30 or 90 days). Once it expires, the file is deleted from the platform automatically, by a daily clean-up.
